This is a blog I started many years ago. The original purpose was to have a place to dump some vacation photos from a trip to Las Vegas. Of course, me being who I am, the entire vacation was an excuse to see all of the interesting arcades out in Vegas. At the time, I wasn’t nearly as serious about my hobby, so my views back then were pretty narrow in scope. I was impressed with trivial things like Frogger and overlooked a lot of machines I haven’t seen anywhere since. Even my photos from that trip were pretty bare-bones. Looking back, I’m surprised I only had two or three photos of a lot of those arcades
I had fun writing those posts, so I kept doing it. Even before I started writing this blog, I’d always go out of my way to visit arcades. A few times, I’d even driven hours of out of town just to see a random tiny arcade with a DDR machine. Writing this blog just turned it from an obsession into a greater obsession.
A lot’s happened since then. I took a two week journey up the East Coast. I saw the biggest arcade in the world. I briefly lead a local arcade group. I hated a local arcade to the point where I’m still seething over it two years later. I walked from Cincinnati to Indianapolis for some reason. Overall, it’s been a very busy couple of years.
On New Year’s Day, 2023, I bought a proper domain for this old blog and gave it a makeover. Before, I was very adamant about never sharing it with people. I sometimes get my facts wrong, make a lot of dumb typos, and have stupid opinions that I kick myself for later. On top of that, I tend to go on long-winded ramblings. But I’ve decided I want to try a bit harder to share my posts.
